Automated Test Equipment
Max Q Systems has developed and manufactured a number of automated test systems for our customers. One of our recent endeavors was an automated switch testing system. This automated test system was developed for a client who needed their high reliability switches tested to a military specification. The ASPMS has since tested over 13000 switches in less than a year of use.

Automated Switch Performance Measurement System
(ASPMS)

Features

  • Measures resistance to within 0.1mohms
  • Measures contact bounce to within 140 microseconds (based on sampling rate)
  • Measures force to within ±1.5% in a 2-7lb. Range (based on calibrated test results)
  • Measures travel distance to within 0.002”

This Max Q designed ATE not only completes testing in a manner of seconds, but achieves a level of precision and accuracy that simply isn't possible on the bench. Moreover, we designed the tester with a dual test bay, enabling the operator to load one DUT while the other was undergoing test.

Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is widely used in the electronic manufacturing industry to test electronic components and systems. ATE is any piece of equipment that performs tests on a device, known as the Device Under Test (DUT). The automation part makes it possible to quickly perform measurements, and even evaluate the test results. An ATE can be a simple computer controlled digital multi-meter, or a complicated system containing dozens of precision instruments to test, and even diagnose, anomalies in sophisticated electronics.

Automated Actuator Test System

This is a fully automated Acceptance Test System for emergency close valves.

This 'ATE' system was designed by Max Q Systems and automatically checks the following parameters:

  • Minimum Velocity
  • Efficiency
  • Torque/Velocity Profile

Other Features

  • Fully portable
  • Documented results
  • Identifies faults
  • Provides for operator programmed testing
