Fred Mosher is the Founder and President of Max Q Systems. He is an electronic engineer who has the unique experience of having begun his career as a technician. He graduated from LA Trade Tech in 1966 and briefly worked in the technical field before being drafted into the Army during the Vietnam conflict.
After returning stateside, he returned to work as a technician and began pursuing his engineering degree at night on the GI bill, while also raising a family.
After earning his degree (Cum Laude), he spent his early and formative years working on some of the most challenging engineering projects during what was a particularly innovative time in the field of electronics and aersospace engineering.
After putting in time at Raytheon, MSI Data, and others, he settled in at HTL KWest. While there, he met and worked with some the best engineers in the fields of electronics, control sytems, electromagnetics, and mechanical engineering.
Some of these same people have made up parts of the engineering team at Max Q.
By the late 1970's, Fred was ready to strike out on his own and began a consulting business. After two years, he had raised enough capital to start his own company. Max Q Systems was born.
Incorporated in 1981, Max Q Systems' first locations were in Costa Mesa, but moved to its current facility in Tustin in 1983. We've expanded into the neighboring suites, but we're still in the same spot.
When he's not working, Fred lives in Costa Mesa with his wife of over 40 years, Margaret, his cars, and his bike. He currently drives a Volkswagen Passat, and he rides a Trek 7.2FX on the Santa Ana river trail to the beach every chance he gets.
